In the issue of September 26, 1977 of Newsweek International an analysis of the economies of the developing world and the trends in international commodities was published under the title “A look at Developing Economies and The Commodities Picture”. This was one of the Newsweek-WEFA Forecasts regularly published by Newsweek International and prepared by a team of economist led by Lawrence R. Klein and F. Gerard Adams of the University of Pennsylvania and The Wharton Econometric Forecasting Associates (WEFA). This report was written by Pedro A. Palma and Abel Beltran del Rio.
