In the issue of September 25, 1978 of Newsweek International an analysis of the economies of the developing world was published under the title “The Newsweek-WEFA Forecast”. This work was regularly published by Newsweek International and prepared by a team of economist led by Lawrence R. Klein and F. Gerard Adams of the University of Pennsylvania and The Wharton Econometric Forecasting Associates (WEFA).
